burger joint (Amoy Street) - Possibly the Best Burger in Singapore
All the way from New York and set to rock our shores, Burger Joint brings to the table obscenely affordable burgers. Coming to you on 3rd May, the team behind the burger sensation is all set to bring you the best burgers in town. They're using the same pickles, same cheese, same beef and basically, you're getting the exact same burger as what you will get in New York.

(CLOSED)Masterclass & New Menu @ Salt Tapas & Bar (Raffles City)
I don't usually go back to the same dining establishment unless its for coffee or for a particular dessert that I really like (even then, it's really rare) but this is my fifth time at Salt Tapas & Bar. I'm always excited to be back here because I know I'll still be impressed, like I have been my past four visits.

Lin林 Rooftop Bar @ Link Hotel (Tiong Bahru)
Lin林 Rooftop Bar was quite a pleasant find. Channeling tons of Asian influence into their unique cocktails and food, patrons can expect to find Western offerings with playful touches of home in a laidback setting.

(CLOSED)Aryaa @ Beach Road
My first encounter with Greek food was a memorable one. I had no idea what to expect. I know they use alot of herbs and cheeses in their cuisine but that's about all there is to my knowledge of this unique cuisine. I popped by Aryaa on Beach Road for lunch and was shown an extensive menu inspired by the culinary adventures of Alexander the Great who travelled across the Mediterranean to India.

Ele-CITRUS-fying Lemon Tarts & 8 New Classic Treats @ Tiong Bahru Bakery
The classic lemon tart at Tiong Bahru Bakery now comes in three levels of sourness and I must say that its the best news I've heard in awhile. I've always loved lemon tarts but most of the tarts out there are way too sour for me. I love a refreshing kick of zingy-ness anytime but I always prefer more sweet than sour.
The newly rolled-out tarts are great because there's now a lemon tart for everyone! Level one sees an impeccable tart base filled with a creamy filling that is largely sweet with soft touches of tanginess. Level two (my favourite) was well-balanced with almost equal parts sweet and sour. Level three got me scrunching up my face and I would recommend it for those who truly enjoy very zesty treats.
On top of the lemon tarts, the dessert selection welcomes eight new additions crafted with top quality flour, butter and chocolate imported from France.

Kanshoku Ramen Bar @ Orchard Gateway
Following the success of their first outlet at Metropolis, the good folks behind Kanshoku decided that it's time to bring their widely-raved ramen to one of the most popular shopping malls in town. The ramen bar is a cozy and casual outfit that sits on level one of Orchard Gateway and we heard that it is packed all the time. I was really excited about the Truffle Ramen ($16.90) + Ajitama ($2) which comes tossed in a decent dose of truffle oil. Served dry and cold, the bed of firm and springy noodles left an impression with its texture. The noodles are topped with real black truffle and flanked by two lightly torched slices of tender charshu. Starting the meal with such a satisfying treat definitely set a high benchmark for the rest of dinner.
