Origin Grill May Have the Best Value-for-Money Set Lunch in Singapore
Origin Grill might be relatively new, but it certainly is here to stay. The solid outfit, which sits in Shangri-La Hotel, prides itself on putting some of the rarest beef on the plates of discerning diners. Many come here for the Shiro Kin Full Blood Wagyu and Snow-Aged Full Blood Wagyu, but do you also know that the chefs whip up really delicious pastas too? In addition, on top of having quite a spectacular collection of wines, and range of decadent sweet treats, Origin Grill goes a step further to please with an executive set lunch menu($34/$45) that can be described with just one word — unbelievable.

Morton's Steakhouse Singapore - An All New Sunday Lunch Menu
My favourite steakhouse has spiced up their Sunday Lunch Menu with tantalising new additions that will charm your socks off. Apart from the droolworthy selection of Morton's specialties and prime steaks, Morton's has kept their value-for-money three-course lunch set which goes for $98++.
Exciting new dishes include Short Rib Tacos and Beef Tenderloin Sandwiches. Morton's also pays homage to the all-time favourite BLT, with their rendition of Crab Cake BLT. Morton's might be known for their steak, but they are quite the master when it comes to seafood too. I tried their Honey-Balsamic Glazed Salmon Fillet before, and was utterly mesmerized.

The Bar at Morton's - Best Happy Hour Deal in Singapore! Free Steak Sandwiches!
Morton's is a renowned steakhouse that does an incredibly mean steak. The portions are huge, the food is delicious, prices are reasonable, the ambience is lovely, and the service is impeccable — what's not to love? While their centre-cut ribeye and centre-cut filet mignon are the undeniable stars, their mortinis are equally outstanding. Morton's is more than generous with the amount of gin or vodka that they pour into your mortini glass. 3 ounces, nothing less, is a promise that they've upheld for ages, and the very reason why people keep coming back for them.
MORtini night, which runs daily, is undeniably a huge hit. It is essentially the bar's happy hour. The bar is always packed from 5pm-7pm every evening, and if you haven't been, you really should! Grab a signature mortini (Cosmopolitan, Appletini, Chocolate Mortini, Lycheetini) at just $15.95, and enjoy complimentary steak sandwiches! The Singapore outlet is the only outlet in the whole world that still sends out free steak sandwiches! If this is not the hottest, and the best happy hour deal in Singapore, I don't know what is. $15.95 for a REAL cocktail served in a legit martini glass, with 3 ounces of gin/vodka is a steal enough. But Morton's still wants to spoil you with filet mignon sandwiches. Oh my, how do I stop loving you, Morton's?

Moosehead - Extraordinary Mediterranean Cuisine in the CBD
Telok Ayer Street is home to many restaurants but none stands out quite the way Moosehead does. A champion of Mediterranean cuisine, Moosehead continuously sends out hearty and delicious small plates which are built by Chef Seumas, who helms the kitchen. Chef's Seumas' creative mind and refined palate enables him to bring together different elements like they are all pieces that belong to the same jigsaw puzzle. Every dish is a beautiful ensemble of lovely flavours and a showcase of fine produce.
The Octopus($30) sees sliced tentacles of New Zealand octopus cooked sous-vide style and grilled on binchotan until the outer edges are crispy-crunchy. Crispy fried potato, red pepper puree, paprika, extra virgin olive oil and chives are part of the cast. The colourful dish is not just a sight to behold, but it will definitely please your palate too. I've had numerous grilled octopus dishes before, but they are often too charred for my liking. This was perfect, and quite possibly my favourite octopus dish to date.

WAKANUI Grill Dining Singapore - Delicious Ocean Beef and Spring Lamb!
WAKANUI is a big name in Tokyo, and should be no stranger to all who have been to Tokyo and were in search of a great steakhouse. I chanced upon WAKANUI when I was in Tokyo, but unfortunately did not get a chance to dine there, so imagine my joy when I realised that the very WAKANUI at Marina One (the only overseas franchise) is almost an exact replica of the one in Tokyo. WAKANUI is situated on the fourth level of the West Tower of Marina One — in a glass capsule — and is designed by the same architect who designed the Tokyo restaurant. Japanese influences can be observed throughout the restaurant and muted earthy hues have been brought together brilliantly to create a beautiful restaurant that exudes a captivating calmness and serenity. The interior of the restaurant might be largely Japanese, but the menu is all about the freshest and the best from New Zealand.

Poolside Patio - Fire Up with Barbecue Nights at Pan Pacific Singapore
If you don't already know, Pan Pacific Singapore is one of my favourite, if not favourite hotel in Singapore. The five-star property has the best buffet restaurant, Edge, a cozy Atrium where high tea sets and cocktails can be enjoyed, a marketplace where you can get your hands on freshly made pastries and goodies, and the amazing Hai Tien Lo which dishes out phenomenal Chinese cuisine. I've been to the hotel many times but it still surprises me - everything is so consistently good here. And now, Poolside Patio, an al fresco dining venue adjacent to the refurbishes swimming pool and Poolside Bar, is set to blow diners away with a sizzling four-course barbecue menu on Friday and Saturday nights.

(CLOSED)Salt Grill & Sky Bar - Good Choice for Special Occasions?
This is my second visit to Salt. The first time was in 2012 during Restaurant Week. I remember loving the ambience and having pretty great things to say about the food. 5 years on, I'm back again. This time, I was here to celebrate my birthday. Of course I was excited to celebrate my special day at one of the most highly acclaimed restaurant in Singapore, perched on the 55th storey in the heart of town, no less.

3-Course Sunday Lunch @ Morton's Steakhouse (Mandarin Oriental)
Few have seen Morton's in daylight but with the new Sunday lunch that features a three-course lunch set that goes for just $65, things are about to change. Having debuted Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday, Morton's brought it back again on Father's Day. The overwhelming response surprised the team at Morton's and they have decided to make it a permanent fixture, much to the joy of their fans!

Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse @ Mohamed Sultan Road
Best known for their Fiorentina steaks, Tuscan steakhouse Bistecca is no stranger to huge crowds and meat-lovers. I know dining here will be a little hard on my purse strings so only special occasions call for a splurge like this! We came by on a Sunday evening to celebrate a birthday. We were greeted warmly by every wait staff as we made our way to our table, which we reserved a few days prior to our visit.

Morton's The Steakhouse Launches an Exciting Fall Menu
An all-new seasonal menu has been rolled out at Morton's of Chicago to welcome fall. Located on the fourth level of Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Morton's is undoubtedly one of the most, if not the most, popular steakhouses in Singapore. Known for top quality steaks and exceptional service, Morton's proves to be consistent in both food and service as my second visit to the well-loved steakhouse was nothing short of amazing too.

Everything is Made from Scratch @ Plentyfull (Millenia Walk)
Plentyfull is a modern brasserie that takes extreme pride in serving up honest food made from the freshest ingredients and seasonal produce. The all-day restaurant, patisserie and gourmet grocer does not use preservatives at all and everything is made from scratch in-house. Diners can look forward to a meal that is both healthy and tasty. According to Head Chef Victor Loy, the 132-seater does not even own a can-opener and even the bacon is made right here in their kitchen.

Morton's The Steakhouse (Mandarin Oriental) vs Bedrock Bar & Grill (Pan Pacific Serviced Suites)
Morton's The Steakhouse at Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Bedrock Bar & Grill at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites at Somerset are two of the most raved about steakhouses in Singapore. I dined at both restaurants for my birthday and thought I would do up an article on them!

Teppan Bar Q @ Robertson Walk (Unity Street)

Three months old Teppan Bar Q is a contemporary teppanyaki restaurant focused on authentic Hakata Teppanyaki dishes. (CLOSED)Mo'mor Izakaya by W. Martin @ Tanglin Post Office (Tanglin Road)
Helmed by industry veteran Chef Martin Woo, Mo'mor Izakaya commands an eye-catching spot at the Tanglin Post Office, on street level. The contemporary izakaya house pushes out Japanese fare with a European flair in a charming setting and the oysters and Wagyu beef here have generated quite a buzz. The Matsusaka Wagyu Striploin ($9 per 10g) was unbelievably tender and melted gloriously as I savoured it oh-so-slowly. The flavour, the texture, just sublime.
