Here’s everything you would potentially need to know, I think, and if you have any questions, you can DM me on Instagram @kimberleyyeo or drop me an email at kimberleyyeo@gmail.com

Best Dog-Friendly Accommodation in Sicily!

ai tre mercati palermo sicily best dog friendly bed and breakfast

Sicily is one of the most beautiful places that I've ever been to. Even though I only had just over a week to spend here, and it was a mad rush visiting 4 different cities, I was really glad that I added it to my itinerary. Sicily is, no doubt, one of, if not the most dog-friendly places in Europe. Sure, Germany. France and Switzerland are incredibly dog-friendly but our four-legged babies aren't allowed in supermarkets. In Sicily, the supermarkets even have trolleys with a designated area for your pups to sit in. I was so amazed and impressed! I love that the people here love dogs! Here are the four dog-friendly hotels or bed and breakfast that we stayed at :

The Best Dog-Friendly Hotels & Airbnbs in More Than 50 Cities in Europe!

medousa bistrot suites taormina dog friendly hotel

Now, after you've booked those air tickets for you and your pup out of the country, it's time to start looking at accommodation options! Here's a list of dog-friendly hotels and airbnbs that we stayed at in Europe! The highlighted ones are really good, and the rest are at least, decent! We did not include the ones that we did not fancy, and we also want to take this opportunity to thank our friends who hosted us!

I would say that all hotels, except the ones in Greece and those under the Petit Palace group, charge a pet fee that ranges from 8 euros - 35 euros (sometimes per night, sometimes per stay). Airbnbs typically do not charge an extra fee for pets, but I do recall the airbnb in Bilbao charging us an additional 5 euros per day that we had to pay in cash.

Médousa Bistrot & Suites - Best Dog-Friendly Accommodation in Taormina!

medousa bistrot suites taormina sicily room

Due to its proximity to Mount Etna and Catania, Taormina is one of the most popular destinations in the whole of Sicily. It's always packed with tourists and while there are plenty of accommodation options, Médousa Bistrot & Suites should be your top choice, especially if you're bringing your precious pup with you on vacation. The location of Medousa cannot be better — it sits literally on the main street, and is literally right across key attractions, and just minutes walk from all the popular sights.

Ai Tre Mercati - Best Dog-Friendly Bed & Breakfast in Palermo (Sicily) With the Nicest Host!

ai tre mercati palermo sicily room photo

Sicily is an underrated gem that’s not on the radar of many Singaporeans, but it really deserves to be.

Filled with surprises at every turn and corner, Sicily will dazzle you with its beauty, food, and wine. If you’re planning to visit, you definitely have to visit Palermo which is probably the most beautiful city in the whole of Sicily! Expect amazing architecture, unique street food, and unparalleled Sicilian hospitality.

Our visit to Palermo saw us staying 2 nights at Ai Tre Mercati, a bed and breakfast right smack in the thick of action. Located just a short walk away from the train station, the bed and breakfast sits above one of the busiest streets, right across popular attractions, and is surrounded by plenty of food options
The location is unbeatable — it’s safe, easily accessible and within walking distance of all major landmarks.

Sicily is incredibly dog-friendly, and I have no doubt that your pup will enjoy his or her time here as well!

Burano - Pretty Coloured Houses & Best Risotto in Venice

 photo P5251245.jpg

X planned an early day and he refused to tell me where we were going except that we were going to eat the best risotto. So we headed out pretty early and took the water taxi. After quite a long ride, we finally arrived at Burano! I was so mesmerized and so happy! X knows that I love colourful things and he knew that I'd love this place. I was really surprised and elated. Burano is insanely pretty!
