Goodbye, Alibi - New Cocktail Bar in Tanjong Pagar With One of the Longest Bar Tops in Singapore

Nestled in the heart of Tanjong Pagar—an area renowned for its vibrant dining and nightlife scene—Goodbye, Alibi is the latest addition to the neighborhood, offering a bold and refreshing take on the bar and dining experience. Seamlessly blending East and West, this exciting new concept delivers expertly-crafted cocktails and delectable bites in a stunning setting.

Tucked away on the second floor of a heritage shophouse at 53A Duxton Road, Goodbye, Alibi is a 55-seater space that exudes both mystery and charm. From the street, its entrance is easy to miss—but those who step inside will discover a striking interior dressed in deep green hues, marble surfaces, and elegant gold accents, and one of the longest bar tops in Singapore. The pièce de résistance? A breathtaking two-story wall lined with an impressive collection of spirits, perfect for Instagram-worthy moments.

The venue also features a cozy mezzanine that accommodates up to 15 guests, making it an intimate yet versatile space for wedding after-parties, corporate gatherings, and cocktail-making workshops.

The name Goodbye, Alibi playfully invites guests to bid farewell to the need for an alibi—because everyone now knows where to find you. Adding a touch of intrigue, patrons can also pen their anonymous confessions and read the secrets left behind by others, creating an interactive and memorable experience. Built on a theme of mystery, secrecy, and curiosity, the bar wants to be a space where "taboo" topics can be discussed, and where everyone feels free to share and mingle.

With a strong focus on house-made infusions, Goodbye, Alibi presents a lineup of signature cocktails that promise to captivate. Look forward to a savoury concoction built with various types of mushrooms in the tasty Slow Burn($26), a bold and smoky A Beautiful Mez($26), and the Kiss & Tell($24), a cheeky twist on the UK’s number one cocktail, Pornstar Martini.

For fans of spirit-forward classics, the Solera Clay-Aged Negroni ($27) will be a standout. The unique process of ageing in terracotta jars in a solera system naturally removes sugar from the negroni, resulting in what the team believes is the smoothest Negroni in Singapore. Another highly raved-about option is the Mulled Boulevardier($27). Whisky enthusiasts can explore a selection of lesser-seen drams, and the adventurous can have a taste of uncommon spirits such as Diplomatico, and Starward.

If none of the menu options catch your eye, simply share your preferred flavor profile with the bartenders, and they will create a bespoke cocktail just for you.

Looking for a post-work pick-me-up? Catch their Happy Hour $10 highballs(Classic, Yuzu, Oolong & Earl Grey) and $15 cocktails(Elderflower Spritz, Yuzu Whisky Sour, French Mule & Earl Grey Passionfruit Sour), or share a bottle ($30 off select bottles) with your best work mates from 5pm - 7pm, Monday - Saturday.

While the drinks steal the spotlight, the food menu is not to be overlooked. Despite operating under stringent SFA regulations—which prohibit the use of an exhaust or even basic cooking techniques such as stir-frying of garlic and onion—Goodbye, Alibi has crafted an impressive selection of dishes that have quickly won over guests. The appetite-whetting Salmon Sashimi Shoyuzuke($22), amazingly addictive Fried Garlic Pork($16), indulgent Mussels in Garlic Butter Cream Sauce($26), and Instant Noodles with a house-made Collagen Broth and Clams($21) have all received excellent reviews.
