Jungsik - Best Two-Michelin-Starred Restaurant in Seoul
Jungsik is a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Seoul and New York. 25th on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, Jungsik specialises in what they call New Korean Fine Dining. You can expect contemporary and creative Korean cuisine that's prepared with familiar and traditional ingredients. It's not easy scoring a table here, so do make your reservations way in advance. For me, Jungsik could very well be the best restaurant in all of Seoul. Every dish here was mind-blowing, and left a deep impression. The elegant restaurant sits in one of the most upscale areas —Cheongdam Dong in Gangnam — and dinner here might burn a small hole in your pocket, but I promise you that you'll find every penny extremely well spent.

What to Eat at South Melbourne Market - 7 Stores You Can't Miss!
South Melbourne Market has been around since 1867. It is not as popular with the tourists as Queen Victoria Market is, but it definitely is way more popular with the locals. If you visit on the weekends, you'll notice that almost every store has a long queue — people buying meats or fish, local produce, fresh pasta, or cooked food. Of the two markets, I prefer South Melbourne Market as it is not as touristy, and the food is generally cheaper. You can get a variety of cuisines, and you can definitely get your marketing all done in one place. Apart from getting groceries and their stomachs filled, visitors can have their hair cut, nails done, brows threaded, and even take home art pieces, handcrafted soap bars, fashion accessories and tableware.

(CLOSED)Maggie Joan's - Turning 3 with a New Chef and New Menus!
If you're a foodie, you'll definitely have, at the very least, heard of Maggie Joan's. Well, it was my first time here, and I have to say that I was blown away. Chef Seumas Smith, the new head chef, has popped over from Moosehead, and is now at the helm of Maggie Joan's. I really like the food at Moosehead, so I know that I was in for a treat at Maggie Joan's too. Using the finest seasonal ingredients from artisanal producers in the creation of every dish, where every component is made from scratch, Chef Seumas brings out the best of every ingredient in his own magical way. I assure you that you'll walk out of Maggie Joan's utterly satisfied, and already planning for a return visit.

Goodwood Park Hotel - Staycation in a Beautiful Heritage Hotel in Singapore
Goodwood Park Hotel is a familiar name to both locals and travellers. The famous 5-star hotel, which was built in the 1900s is one of the oldest hotels in Singapore. Her colonial beauty has been preserved and protected, and the heritage hotel welcomes throngs of visitors throughout the year. I've always thought that staying here would burn a huge hole in my pocket, considering how exclusive it seems, and its proximity to Orchard Road. Surprisingly, a night stay in one of their deluxe rooms on level one, next to the pool, wasn't as pricey as I had imagined.

The Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon - Great Location, Modern Rooms!
Asakusa might not be the most central of location in Tokyo but most tourists still make it a point to visit because of the Senso-ji and Tokyo Skytree. Dressed in eye-catchingly bright hues, Senso-ji is the oldest Buddhist temple in Tokyo. It draws throngs of people day in day out. It's beautiful in the day, and as stunning at night. Sitting pretty right opposite the famous temple is The Gate Hotel, which plays host to visitors from all over the world. THE LIN Hotel - A Crazy Luxurious Stay in Taichung
THE LIN in Taichung is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious hotels that I've ever stayed in. Upon arriving at the 5-star hotel, I was greeted by the sight of eight Lamborghinis parked right in front of the hotel. I asked the doorman if there was a car show or something but he said the cars belonged to guests who were staying at the hotel. I should have known then, what I was getting myself into.

Zafferano - The Saturday Italian Table Brunch with Free Flow Champagne!
Indulging in a hearty brunch seems to be what most Singaporeans get up to over the weekends. But what's better than a hearty brunch? Well, if you ask me, an Italian brunch which comes with a free-flow of delicious treats, wine, and champagne certainly sounds more enticing! Zafferano's popular Saturday brunch has made a comeback due to overwhelming demand. Botanico at The Garage - New Chef, New Locally-Inspired Creations
Ever since Botanico opened its doors, it has been on my list of recommended places to go. Set amidst lush greenery, the restaurant is perfect for romantic dates, intimate family dinners, and those who just want to kick back and relax over cocktails and wine. With a new chef at its helm, Botanico has moved towards a more locally-inspired menu that is heavily influenced by Asian flavours, and built with botanical elements. The outstanding Seabass Ceviche($17), which is Chef Su's interpretation of Assam Laksa, left a really deep impression. Diced seabass is brilliantly put together with tamarind-dressed glass noodles, and a scoop of shrimp paste icecream. If there's only one dish that you can have from the menu, this has to be it. I promise that you'll fall in love with it on the very first bite

Akashi - Excellent Omakase at Orchard Parade Hotel
One of my good friends visit Akashi on a really regular basis. I got a little curious and asked why he keeps going there. He told me that the omakase is consistently good. Sure, I've heard of Akashi and Akanoya but I've never dined at any of them because I've heard that a meal at either locations will strain my wallet. Well, but when his birthday came around and he wanted to have an omakase lunch here, how could I say no? It's a great chance for me to finally see how good Akashi really is too!

Zafferano - New Dishes from Chef Emanuele Faggi
Chef Emanuele Faggi is young, creative, and absolutely brilliant. The new head chef of Zafferano, a Tuscan native, has had stints at famous restaurants(including 2-Michelin-Starred Cracco Ristorante), before taking over the kitchen at Zafferano. Chef Faggi makes sure that only the freshest produce is incorporated in his dishes, and cleverly marries seasonal produce and authentic Tuscan flavours with contemporary touches. Chef also firmly believes in the reduction of food wastage, and ever since his arrival at Zafferano, the restaurant has seen a 70% reduction in food wastage. Amazing, isn't it? "How does Chef Faggi do it?" You might ask. Well, food discards are made into powder, seasoning, or used for plating! Intrigued? You need to try his new additions to the menu then!

24 Guesthouse Namsan - The WORST Place to Stay in Myeongdong(Seoul)
If you’re heading to Seoul, DON'T DON'T DON'T stay at 24 Guesthouse Namsan in Myeongdong.
I booked this room for 7 nights (22nd - 29th June) for $53.85/night via Airbnb. It's a single room with private bathroom and tv. When I checked in, I was
told by the receptionist that they didn’t have a single room and they
will give me a room for 2. I was confused so I said huh, and he repeated himself again. I thought he meant a twin bedroom or a double
bed room. Guess what room I got?

Morton's Steakhouse Singapore - An All New Sunday Lunch Menu
My favourite steakhouse has spiced up their Sunday Lunch Menu with tantalising new additions that will charm your socks off. Apart from the droolworthy selection of Morton's specialties and prime steaks, Morton's has kept their value-for-money three-course lunch set which goes for $98++.
Exciting new dishes include Short Rib Tacos and Beef Tenderloin Sandwiches. Morton's also pays homage to the all-time favourite BLT, with their rendition of Crab Cake BLT. Morton's might be known for their steak, but they are quite the master when it comes to seafood too. I tried their Honey-Balsamic Glazed Salmon Fillet before, and was utterly mesmerized.

Tsukuba Wan Wan Land(Ibaraki) - Hidden Doggy Heaven in Japan
Ibaraki, which is considerably near Tokyo, is known to be the home of many educational institutions, especially colleges. While you're walking along the streets in the capital city, Mito, you'll see tons of school kids dressed in smart uniforms. Mito is a good base for you to explore some parts of the prefecture. A key attraction will be the Hitachi Seaside Park which is blanketed in different flowers throughout the year.
Tsukuba Wan Wan Land, a literal doggy wonderland, is hardly visited by foreign tourists, but is very popular with the Japanese. It might be a little difficult to get here, but I promise you that it will be worth the time and effort. Where else can you play with and spend quality time with so many dogs?

The Bar at Morton's - Best Happy Hour Deal in Singapore! Free Steak Sandwiches!
Morton's is a renowned steakhouse that does an incredibly mean steak. The portions are huge, the food is delicious, prices are reasonable, the ambience is lovely, and the service is impeccable — what's not to love? While their centre-cut ribeye and centre-cut filet mignon are the undeniable stars, their mortinis are equally outstanding. Morton's is more than generous with the amount of gin or vodka that they pour into your mortini glass. 3 ounces, nothing less, is a promise that they've upheld for ages, and the very reason why people keep coming back for them.
MORtini night, which runs daily, is undeniably a huge hit. It is essentially the bar's happy hour. The bar is always packed from 5pm-7pm every evening, and if you haven't been, you really should! Grab a signature mortini (Cosmopolitan, Appletini, Chocolate Mortini, Lycheetini) at just $15.95, and enjoy complimentary steak sandwiches! The Singapore outlet is the only outlet in the whole world that still sends out free steak sandwiches! If this is not the hottest, and the best happy hour deal in Singapore, I don't know what is. $15.95 for a REAL cocktail served in a legit martini glass, with 3 ounces of gin/vodka is a steal enough. But Morton's still wants to spoil you with filet mignon sandwiches. Oh my, how do I stop loving you, Morton's?

Regent Tea Lounge - An Indulgent Weekday Afternoon Tea in the Heart of Orchard
Having tea on a weekday afternoon is not something that we can do very often. Hence, when we get the chance to kick back and enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea session, we have to make sure that we choose wisely, don't we? The weekday three-tier afternoon tea at Regent Singapore, which is affordably priced at $45/pax, promises to please your palate and fill you to the brim. The tea starts at 12pm, and runs all the way to 5pm. While I didn't spend the full 5 hours here, those who plan to have a long catch-up session with their beloved girl pals will definitely enjoy their time in the revamped colonial garden setting. While the typical afternoon tea sets offer just the stated set, and drinks, Regent has made it their top priority to ensure that guests are very well taken care of with the inclusion of a mini buffet that features mini pastries, salads, sandwiches, Italian cheeses and other small bites.

The Summerhouse has just turned one, and the past year has been a glorious one indeed. Stepping into its second year, The Summerhouse has introduced attractive transformations, and is offering more enchanting experiences. The Summerhouse Garden Domes, which are dressed in Bohemian, Scandinavian, or Lounge themes, have been really popular since their launch. Numerous marriage proposals have been held in them, and you can imagine how in demand the domes were when Valentine's Day came around. (CLOSED)Au Petit Salut Celebrated Her Last Valentine's Day
Au Petit Salut has been on my to-go list for the longest time. I'm glad to have dined there this valentine's day because it was actually their very last valentine's day. The restaurant was running its last service the next day, 15th February. I didn't know that they were closing but I caught wind of it when this couple, whom I assume were regulars, spoke to a staff about the closing. Well, thank goodness I had a chance to dine here before the restaurant was gone for good!

(CLOSED) Le Binchotan - Amazing Japanese-French Creations with a Rich Smokiness
Le Binchotan has been around for awhile now, but the new chef-owner, Jeremmy, who have had stints at Iggy's and Sola, has refreshed things, injected more goodness into the food, and is bringing even more to the table. The name Le Binchotan is a combination of a French word, and a Japanese word, and this captures the essence of the restaurant perfectly. The restaurant specialises in Japanese-French flavours that are elevated with a trademark smokiness that can only be achieved with the use of binchotan, a rare and expensive charcoal.

(CLOSED)Dinner by Heston Blumenthal - Is This Famous Restaurant Worth a Visit?
I made a reservation at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal quite sometime before my trip to Melbourne. I was super stoked for my dinner here. The kind folks at Dinner saved me a table by the window, even though it was just me. I was quite touched as I thought that they would give such lovely seats to couples or families, instead of a lone diner, especially when the restaurant was full.

Beauty in the Pot - Newest and Biggest Outlet at OneKM Mall
Beauty in the Pot is possibly Singapore's favourite hotpot place. I've eaten here countless of times, and I remain addicted to their Signature Beauty Collagen Soup, and Fried Beancurd Skin. There were times that I travelled all the way from my home in the west to Centrepoint in the wee hours of the morning just because I had to satiate those intense cravings. Many would compare Beauty in the Pot to Hai Di Lao, which isn't unusual. I am a huge fan of Hai Di Lao too, having first tried it back in 2013. I love their tomato soup, and their fish slices, and I've dined there numerous times too. However, in all honesty, ever since I've tried BITP, I have only been to HDL once, because I was already at Clarke Quay. Are you a huge fan of BITP too? If so, you'll be pleased to know that they have opened their largest outlet, yet, at OneKM mall, just a level above their very first outlet in Singapore.

The Farm Cafe (Collingwood Childrens' Farm) - One of Melbourne's Best Cafes
The Farm Cafe is not the most accessible cafe, especially if you aren't driving. However, I promise you that this cafe will be worth the trip! You can easily spend hours here. Start by having a lovely brunch at the cafe, before taking a walk around the farm, and get ready for guinea pig cuddles and cow milking sessions!

Sushi Jin - One of the Best Omakase Dinners in Singapore
I'm not an expert when it comes to omakase dinners, especially when I haven't dined at the big names. Shinji, Hashida, Sushi Jiro, and Shoukouwa are on my list but till my bank account is fuller, I won't be able to indulge in a dinner at any of these establishments. I have, however, been on the lookout for awesome omakase dinners that come with a more pocket-friendly price tag. In recent times, I've dined at Ryo Sushi twice, and Hakumai. And now, Sushi Jin by the Les Amis Group.
