Enbu @ Eat At Seven (Suntec City)

Eat At Seven is the latest multi-concept dining project in town. With seven different Japanese restaurants under one roof, diners are spoilt for choice. I like the idea of being able to try various types of food at one destination. And Enbu, which specialises in grilling, is the first to be launched

Sitting on level three, the easiest way to get there is to locate these escalators that are near Tower Two (I think?) It's near the Fountain of Wealth so keep a lookout for it!

Taco Salad - $15
A nice crisp shell that houses a mix of vegetables and avocado before it is topped with a Bolognese like sauce. That sauce really enlivens the entire salad!

Enbu is known for grilling with straws and charcoal grill which is supposed to give a unique smoky taste to the grilled products

Chicken Warayaki with Special Spring Sauce - $12
Unfortunately, I found the chicken a little dry and hard. The accompanying sauce was the saving grace

Roasted Tenderloin Warayaki - $22
These tender slices melted slowly in my mouth, allowing me to appreciate and embrace its glorious texture and flavour. That mashed potato was surprisingly, really yummy too! Highly recommended!

Oyster and Spinach Teppanyaki with Uni Sauce - $15
No doubt, hands-down, my favourite dish of the night. That burst of flavours when you bite into the plump oysters might just send you to heaven. It's an unbelievable combination and as I'm typing this, I'm seriously reliving the experience in my head. That thin crisp layer encases a fat juicy oyster which is then topped with homemade uni sauce and lightly torched cheese. I really can have this everyday! And what's most surprising is that this is only $15?! Like seriously, its like a sin if you don't go to Enbu for this!

Homemade Steamed Tofu - $12
Silky smooth, collagen-filled, and spiced up with a clear brown sauce, I found it hard to stay away from the tofu. Its texture is captivating and I enjoyed it very much but its price-tag is really pretty hefty

Amaebi Yukke - $14
Isn't that quail egg cute? Here we have sweet prawns mixed with a raw quail egg which might prove to be too raw for some but I quite like the refreshing coldness and subtle sweetness

Mochi Ice Cream - $8
These might look like poorly-made mochi but they have a surprise centre waiting for you! Beneath that sticky rice cake exterior is a little ball of icecream! A simple but satisfying finish to the meal, especially for those who are not big on desserts

Another exciting highlight at Enbu is the Suntory Whisky Kaku highball machine which will produce Suntory Kakubin Draft Highball at $10 for 45ml. You can also get Coedo craft beers here!
