Rustic earthy tones, storied wall murals, wooden elements are all part of this newest addition to the Central Business District. Pronounced as Fire Kitchen And Drink, FYR Cycene Ond Drinc possesses an olden-day allure that is both charming and fascinating. FYR focuses on the marriage of modern European cuisines with Asian spices and all their dishes are prepared using the Josper Charcoal Oven with lychee wood.

Baked Freshly Shucked Oysters - $15
The fresh oysters were spiced up with sweet paprika, roasted garlic, chilli padi, spring onion and calamansi. A very refreshing appetizer to start the meal with!

Baked Half Bone Marrow - $15
This is my first time trying bone marrow and I was pretty skeptical and hesitant but this was a delectable buttery mess of flavours and softness that melted away slowly in my mouth and I loved it!

Baked Aubergine & Chickpea Ragout - $10
The soft egg plant was coated with miso and bechamel apparently but it was quite frankly, pretty much tasteless

Grain-fed US Holstein Cow Ribeye 365 Days - $32
This would make a decent dinner option if it were more heavily seasoned

Spiced Deboned Red Snapper - $25
Not such a big fan of fish but this was quite enjoyable with the accompanying sambal belachan that wasn't too fiery to handle. The fish on its own could do with more seasoning

Five-Spice Half Chicken, Striploin & Asian-spiced Tiger Prawn - $55
A sharing platter of meats that come with a foie gras and a truffle sauce that didn't taste anything quite like what they should. For once, I preferred chicken to beef. The beef was a tad too tough in my opinion

Whole Maine Lobster - $35
That creamy and buttery shallot lemongrass bechamel was good enough to be enjoyed with just plain toast. Maine Lobster coated with one of the best sauces I've tasted to date. What's not to love?

Seafood Linguine - $18
A sophisticated pasta dish made with lobster bisque, laksa leaves and Thai basil. I enjoyed the flavours present but the pasta was a little overcooked. Would have enjoyed it more if the linguine was firmer

Baked Pistachio Melt & Pandan Ice Cream - $10

This was undeniably the highlight and star of the night. The warm lava cake comes complete with a molten core, a rich pandan flavour and a side of pandan icecream. The taste of pistachio is hardly detectable but it doesn't make this any less delicious. Can I have ten of this please. A must-try, for sure!

I highly recommend the grilled fresh fruit juices ($4.50) here. Grilling fruits bring out their natural sweetness and I was so surprised by my orange juice which was really sweet and refreshing and there wasn't even any artificial sugar added! The food here could definitely use more seasoning but FYR is awfully new and all new establishments need some time to iron out the kinks in their menu. That lava cake though, to die for.
