Montana Brew Bar and Nookie Yogurt have taken the island by storm ever since their opening. With Montana Brew Bar boasting innovative and highly affordable waffles and Nookie Yogurt booting out deconstructed desserts in yogurt parfait form, its no wonder that these two establishments were an instant hit. And very cleverly connected to each other at PoMo too.

Latte
Montana takes extra pride in their coffee and I must say that this specially customized blend was easy on the palate, smooth and has a little kick of acidity. Pretty good cuppa, I say!

The ULTIMATE Truffle Jalapeno Mac & Cheese- $12.50
I was amazed at how the waffles were still really crispy despite us taking a million years to photograph them. The mac and cheese waffles left a deep impression with every individual ingredient melding together really well and that homemade condiment that carried a hint of curry was the bomb. This is pretty much the most popular waffles in the scene right now. I thought it could be cheesier though! Highly recommended and something that I'll return to Montana for!

Southern Fried Chicken Wafflewich - $9.50
The chicken was a little bland and even though it was paired with mustard coleslaw, it didn't fare that well with me on the taste factor. I've heard so so much about this but I've had better chicken with waffles before. But its really affordable price tag (half the price of your usual chicken and waffles) does warrant a shot. Once they've tailored the chicken to perfection, they will be giving the popular chicken and waffles places a run for their money, for sure!

Chocolate Banana Waffles - $10.50
I think its a great idea that consumers can choose a preferred type of waffle. Some like their waffles light and airy but others dense and crispy. It all boils down to personal preference and isn't it wonderful to have a say? We were recommended the souffle waffle (fluffy, light and chiffon-like in the middle with a gentle crispy crust) and that's exactly what we chose for our chocolate banana waffles! The texture of the waffle was commendable and it comes with caramelized bananas, salted caramel sauce, vanilla icecream and nutella truffle powder! A creative take on old fashioned chocolate but I'd have very much preferred to taste more chocolate in this creation

Located almost in the heart of town, and just a short walk away from my favourite cinema (Cathay), I can foresee myself coming back here before a late night movie! Looking forward to more wafflelicious creations! Oh yes, I really wanna try their Soft Shell Crab Burger too.

Do share with me your favourites at Montana Brew Bar!
