With two outlets in Singapore and breaking into other countries step by step, Miam Miam has brought to Singapore delicious fare made from scratch using top-grade ingredients. Dishes are not only affordable and innovative, but bound to leave an impression and have you craving for more
Featured here is one of the most popular items at Miam Miam, the Miam Miam Spaghetti. A large plate of generous ingredients atop a bed of spaghetti that has the most interesting texture that I've ever encountered. Honestly quite mindblown by the mouthfeel of the spaghetti!
Iced Matcha Latte with Matcha Softee - $8.80
Rejoice match lovers, for this is a drink that will steal your heart!
Peanut Butter & Banana Milkshake - $8.20
Neither heavy, nor overly thick, but smooth and thick and packed full of flavour. A must-try in my humble opinion
Riz Noir Squid Ink Rice with Assorted Seafood - $16.50
I was quite impressed by the prices at Miam Miam. For the quality that we are getting, I was kinda expecting the mains to be priced a couple of dollars higher at least. The Squid Ink rice was tastefully savoury and the pile of creamy scrambled eggs was the perfect accompaniment to the dish. This is actually the first time that I've had a bite of squid ink rice and I was kinda wondering why haven't I tried this before. And then I realised, oh the black teeth and lips. Haha, but pretty worth the temporary "blackness" I say!
Chicken Teriyaki Spaghetti - $16.80
A huge plate of spaghetti that I felt wasn't as great as the Miam Miam Spaghetti in terms of the amount of ingredients. Still tasty, but we could use more chicken definitely. I couldn't help but ask about the pasta because the texture was just unbelievable. Turns out that every portion of pasta weighs 110g and is cooked for exactly 7.5minutes to achieve that crazy al dente texture that I really love. Such dedication and immense effort put into research and development and keeping the standard is just commendable
Souffle Au Curry - $17.80
One of the highlights for us was definitely the unique rice dish topped with a fluffy cloud of egg and cheese! We were more than intrigued by the melt-in-our-mouths puff of goodness. Mix it in with the curry rice and you might just find yourself on cloud nine!
Famous French Toast - $10.80
You've got to wait at least 15 minutes for this to be served so do plan ahead of your meal just in case you're in a rush! On the menu, it says that the French Toast is an "absolute must-have" and I was really excited to try it! An unconventional French Toast that doesn't have the eggy taste and is so fluffy and oh my goodness, the thick cream is just to die for. Definitely a dish to have, even if you aren't a fan of French toasts!
Valrhona Chocolate Souffle - $13.80
I've tried this before but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. So this is a second go at it, and I still feel that this could be improved. Perhaps it needs a little more melted chocolate? Still a satisfying dessert but for its price tag, I kinda expected it to blow me away that bit more
Caramelised Banana Pancake - $13.80
Caramelised banana pancakes never go wrong and as much as the pancake was thick and fluffy, I felt that it was a tad dry towards the middle
The souffles and pancakes at Miam Miam are made with really expensive and sophisticated machinery but I do feel that I'm looking for more for what I'm paying. The mains at Miam Miam impressed more than the desserts did and I'm really amazed at the consistency of their dishes due to really strict procedures in the kitchen. With everything prepared from scratch and timed religiously, diners can always expect good food at Miam Miam!
