Jing Hua Restaurant celebrates a good 25 years of serving up Jing Hua cuisine on our sunny island. The brainchild of two native Singaporeans, Jing Hua has proven that honest goodness can survive the arduous test of time. For a restaurant that has been around for 25 years, you would think that they would have modified the menu a couple of times but truth be told, the menu has stayed completely the same even after a quarter of a century. Now, aren't you interested to find out more about this longstanding success?

Little Juicy Steamed Meat Dumplings (小笼汤包) - $7
The most famous and popular dish at Jing Hua is undoubtedly everyone's favourite xiao long baos. For $7, we get a basket of seven fat baos with a good proportion of soup and meat encased in a thin and firm skin. Fans of xiao longs baos will not want to miss this!

Chinese Pizza (三鲜盒子) - $10
A savoury pancake filled with minced pork and chives that surprised me with its enjoyable crust and generous filling. I would really recommend this specialty that is hard to find in Singapore!

Pan Fried Mixed Seafood & Pork Dumplings (三鲜锅贴) - $8 for 10 pieces
I adored how crisp, light and easy to eat these dumplings were. Certainly my favourite dish of the night! I gobbled a couple of this down in no time!

Mixed Seafood and Pork Dumplings (三鲜饺子) - $8
The steamed version of the seafood and pork dumplings didn't fare as well with me as the pan fried version above. But again, I always prefer fried stuff to steamed ones.

Crispy Red Bean Pancake (豆沙锅饼) - $10
Prepared a la minute, the red bean pancake was nicely crisp and filled with a lavish portion of warm red bean paste. A hot favourite at Jing Hua, literally!

Sweet Osmanthus Flower Rice Ball Soup (桂花汤圆) - $3
The osmanthus flower soup was a sweet end to our meal. Never really thought that floral scented soup was easy to drink or particularly delightful, but that impression changed when I tried this. I finished up almost the entire bowl of soup despite being really full. The rice balls were filled with peanut, red bean paste, lotus and walnut paste and black sesame. A comforting and satisfying dessert!

Jing Hua Restaurant has two outlets right now. The first one at Neil Road, and the second one at Rochor Road, which is super near Bugis. And a third restaurant is coming right up! If you're looking to have some really good dumplings, do head down to either of these outlets !

159 Rochor Road
Daily: 11.30 am-3.00pm, 5.30 pm - 9.30pm
