A traditional favourite that everyone in my family adored! Love how the mooncake wasn't overly sweet!

Flaky Teochew ‘Orh Ni’ Mooncake with Premium Fragrant Golden Pumpkin & Single Egg Yolk - $59 /box of 4 

For an avid orh ni lover, this was God-sent. Thin flakes, crisp pastry and all things fine, this is certainly one of the best ways to enjoy a unique rendition of orh ni. An award-winning signature, this is one mooncake not to be missed!

The almost Tiffany Blue box comes in a handy cooler bag so you can rest assured that these delicate babies will survive even a two-hour journey home. Don't be like me though, I carried the mooncakes around with me for about four hours, only to realise that they melted when I got home ):

My favourite of the lot has got to be the new Mini Snowskin Black Thorn Durian Mooncake Nyonya Style in Coconut(blue)- $76/box of 8! Made from Black Thorn durian specially sourced from Penang, the durian puree stole my heart with its intense flavour. It was a great balance of sweet and bitter! There are only 500 boxes available and stocks are running really low! 

The marriage of Myanmar Diamond Solitaire mango cubes and low-fat Philadelphia cheese really surprised me. Not a fan of either ingredient, I actually took to the mooncake after just one bite. Unique and rich but not heavy, the Mini Snowskin Mango Philadelphia Cheese Mooncake(white) - $58/box of 8 is refreshing and pleasing to the palate.  

Another new addition to the array of mooncakes curated by Peony Jade is the Mini Snowskin (BanoChoc) Chocolate Salted Caramel Glaze Banana and Walnuts Mooncake(brown) - $49/box of 8. I was expecting this symphony of dark Valrhona chocolate, Del Monte bananas, spruced up with salted caramel and walnuts to be my favourite since it consists of all my favourite ingredients. But somehow, it just didn't quite work for me.

The Mini Snowskin Fragrant Honey Williams Pears, Organic Apricot and Raspberry Mooncake(orange) - $49/box of 8 is a floral mooncake handcrafted from raspberries from California and Williams pears and apricots from France. This mooncake is definitely one of the most unique ones I've seen thus far. I'm not a fan of floral flavours though, and I felt that this was overly perfumed and overwhelming
