Occupying a two storey shophouse is Elffin & Elffin, a new art gallery cum cafe that has sprouted up along the popular Haji Lane.
The second level is simple, but pretty!
Red Velvet Cake
Instead of the usual cream cheese frosting, this red velvet was coated with fresh cream. We didn't quite enjoy the taste or the texture of the cake but it sure is one good looking slice
We also had a cup of latte brewed with Highlander beans. The fragrance of coffee was absent and the taste of coffee was very mild. It felt like we were drinking a heavy bodied cup of milk.
I like the ambience of the cafe, especially when we were the only ones around. It's quiet and if you're looking for a place to read a good book, or to do some work, I'd really recommend this space. It's also quite ideal for a big group gathering I think! But don't have high hopes of the cakes and coffee though!
