Cake Love
After my tasting at Table by Rang Mahal at Naumi Hotel, I decided to check out Cake Love, which was nearby and located just doors away from the famous Fluff Bakery.
When I got there, their chocolate salted caramel tart was already sold out.
Elvis Pie - $6.80 (I think?)
After much deliberation, I settled for this Elvis Pie, as it was the only other appealing item amidst cupcakes and macarons.
The Elvis Pie consists of chocolate, peanut butter and banana which sounds like a delightful combination. However, the crust was a total let down. It was super soft, somewhat hollow, and absolutely tasteless. I abandoned the crust and went for the middle which didn't impress as I thought it would.
Salted Caramel Macaron - $2.80
At $2.80 per piece, trust me, you can get way better macarons elsewhere. The salted caramel was buttery but lacked saltiness. And the shells were a tad too hollow.
Definitely not a cake store that I'll return to but I do adore the design of their shopfront. It's really eye-catching and lovely. Service could also have been more prompt as I was standing at the cake display for a long while before someone actually attended to me.
