Having been around for about 1.5 years now, Strangers' Reunion is one of the most popular cafes in Singapore. Having heard much about their buttermilk waffles and coffee, I finally popped by on a weekday afternoon!
I was surprised at how crowded the cafe was on a Wednesday!
Magic - $5.50
Strangers' Reunion is the first to introduce Magic to Singapore and Magic is said to be a magical ratio of coffee to milk. Instead of using an espresso shot, the Magic comprises of a double ristretto.
Truffle Fries with Truffle Aioli and Parmesan
Quite an addictive bowl of truffle fries I must say! The addition of parmesan cheese does give added flavour to the dish
We didn't try their waffles which are highly raved about but from what I've heard recently, the standard of their waffles has plunged. What say you? Are they worth a try?
I really like the design of Strangers'. It's not overly fancy but yet it's actually really pretty. Wish the tables weren't placed so near each other though! Service was alright but the server returned to our table like three times to ask for our orders when we haven't actually decided haha. We felt rather pressurized to place an order quickly
