Singapore has seen a huge increase in the number of cupcake bakeries, be it brick and mortar stores or online bakeries. We might all have a favourite bakery where we get our cupcake fix but Kisses Bakery is a must-visit if you're a cupcake fan!
I dropped by Kisses to pick up a box of six on a Sunday afternoon. This was a sample box that the good people at Kisses prepared for me in light of a possible collaboration between their bakery and my upcoming cafe.
Kisses has been rolling out a "cupcake flavour of the month" and the flavour of October is Earl Grey Orange!
I was surprised that my favourite of the lot was actually the earl grey orange! I've tried the earl grey cupcakes from a few other bakeries and the earl grey taste was either too strong or too artificial. But the one at Kisses was light and fragrant. The cupcakes at Kisses are all moist with a generous portion of frosting. I've never really been a fan of frosting because they're always either too sweet or not well made. The ones at Kisses really impressed me. The salted caramel, peanut butter chocolate, espresso and the red velvet were really awesome too! Okay, that's like everything haha. I didn't try the raspberry one because I don't take berries but I'm sure it's really good too!
Kisses saves you the trouble and time of parking and walking with its drive-through pick up of cupcakes. How thoughtful, right!
