Signature Stone Restaurant

Media Invite

Ariel, the owner and chef of Signature Stone Restaurant loves cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. Her idea of a hotstone restaurant stemmed from her family's love for claypot rice. Ariel has noticed that the bottom of the rice cluster in claypots is usually charred. She then discovered that bibimbap which is served in a hot stone pot does not have that problem. Hence, Ariel decided to set up her own hot stone restaurant that boasts both traditional and western fusion delights

Wine Chicken - $8

A tasty and spicy concoction that is comforting but lacks the taste of wine

Stone Pot Big Prawns Soup - $10.90 (Small) / $19.60(Big)

Trust me, get the big pot! The soup was laced with the strong taste of herbs and yet, carried a distinct sweetness of the prawns. I was really surprised by how good it was! We cleaned up the whole pot and it just wasn't enough. Not forgetting the fresh and juicy prawns, it's no wonder this is one of the most popular dishes!

Onion Cheese Mushroom Omelette - $6

Simple omelette that is just pretty average

Stone Pot Garlic Herb Salmon - $12.30

I'm not that big a fan of garlic but I must point out how fragrant this dish was! Every bite of the rice was infused with garlic. Coupled with the tender pieces of salmon and a mix of crunchy and soft rice, there's nothing not to like about this dish. A great fusion of the east and west!

The stone pot remains hot for a long time, cooking the bottom of the rice more and making that layer crunchy. When you mix the rice and another layer of rice settles at the bottom, that layer will also be further cooked and become crunchier. The hot stone pot not only keeps your food warm for a longer period of time but it also gives your rice a refreshing crunch that is much welcomed

Stone Pot Sliced Pork with Sliced Salted Fish - $8.20

A traditional favourite with black sauce mixed in! We adored the thin slices of savoury Chinese sausage and crunchy salted fish bits. Can't wait to bring my grandma here because I know she will definitely like this!

Preparation of the hot stone dishes will take about 15 minutes or so because everything is cooked fresh! We think it's definitely worth the wait! Also, the hot stone dishes are served in individual portions which are perfect for one, and also ideal for groups who will like to share a number of items. The prices are really reasonable too!

We'll like to thank Ariel and Derrick for inviting us!
