Huîtrerie Régis(Paris) - Best Oysters I've Ever Had in My Life

BEST OYSTERS EVER. Period.

Huîtrerie Régis opens at 630 and X and I were there on the dot!

X loves oysters and he really wanted to try this place out. The minimum order per person is a dozen oysters. When I heard that, I was shocked. 12 oysters by myself??? How could I possibly finish that, especially when I'm not huge on oysters. But we figured I could have maybe 4 and X can finish the rest for me. Little did I know that I would finish a dozen on my own.

I think we took a trip to heaven and back. I never thought I would fall so hopelessly in love with oysters. Incredibly and unimaginably fresh. You would have to try it to know it. My words really don't do it justice. I can't even articulate how good these oysters are. Insane? Breathtaking? Mindblowing? All that, and much more.

The Speciales De Claires N°3 - 30
Because we couldnt get enough of them, we ordered another dozen. Writing about these oysters frustrates me because I just can't properly convey how awesome these were. For someone who's not a fan of oysters to gulp down twelve remarkable oysters, can you even begin to fathom such unbelievable goodness? No strange aftertaste, or stinky lingering taste. Just pure and absolutely fresh oysters that will change even those that dislike oysters.

A little cup of espresso to end the meal
We were not exactly full from this meal, but it was certainly one of the most, if not, the most satisfying and gratifying meal we've ever had. Our meal cost 102€ and it's pretty steep but the life-changing oysters were well worth every penny. We felt that we could die happy then! A must-visit when you're in the beautiful city of light!
