Opened by the people behind 3 Inch Sin, Craft is a cafe that I've been wanting to try because I love the lava cakes from 3 Inch Sin! Taking over the space that Cold Rock used to occupy is this simple cafe that supposedly has an impressive range of desserts and coffee
It was pretty warm outdoors so we decided to sit inside but if you're visiting Craft, I'd strongly suggest sitting outdoors. The cafe reeked of oil and cooking and we really stank after we left
Toblerone Cheesecake - $7
The cheesecake was creamy and pretty yummy but we could hardly taste the toblerone
Original Lava Cake - $9.50
The rich molten lava cake was sinful goodness and perfect for sharing. Wish the molten chocolate centre was smoother though
Our after meal party at Craft was interrupted repeatedly by houseflies landing on us and our plates. And one even decided to pay our jar of sugar syrup a friendly visit.
We also had a glass of iced latte. Knowing that the beans are from Papa Palheta, I urged my friend to try the coffee. The coffee was thin, sour and lacked richness. It does not taste like what I have had from Papa Palheta at all. It was really disappointing
Craft should really do something about the flies and the smell in the cafe. It was quite an unpleasant visit and I honestly doubt I'll return.
