Trattoria Da Garibardi - Best Fiorentina Steak in Florence

 photo P5240860.jpg
X found this place in Florence for dinner and I must say that it was a terrific find! This was easily the best meal that we had in Italy!

The restaurant had indoor and outdoor seats and we decided to sit outdoors

Red wine - 7 euros

Prosciutto e melone - 8.50 euros

The rock melon that they used was magical. They were so so sweet! And they don't have that raw taste that you get from some of the rock melons. The insane sweetness from the rock melon, coupled with intense saltiness of parma ham just made this one of the greatest starters ever

Insalata Mista - 4.50 euros
X's daily dose of fresh veggie

Spaghetti allo scoglio - 11 euros

A huge portion of flawlessly cooked al dente spaghetti with a generous amount of seafood. Unlike the usual seafood marinara, this seafood spaghetti was cooked aglio olio style and it was nothing short of amazing. So flavourful and satisfying!

Bistecca alla Fiorentina x 1 person (500g) - 18.50

Florentine steak! A must-eat in Florence. A huge slab of steak that could very well be shared but it's so good that you might want to keep it all to yourself! So tender, so juicy, so unbelievably great. X and I both loved it!

Tiramisu

The tiramisu was not bad and it's worth a shot if you're looking for dessert

Ricotta Pudding

The server told us that this dessert is a traditional and classic Florentine dessert and we should definitely try it. It's kinda like a sponge cake with a cream centre and a strange intense orangey taste. Didn't quite suit our tastebuds unfortunately!

Limoncello

Before we placed our orders, we asked what a limoncello was and the server told us that it's a drink to be consumed after our meal. And we were like, oh okay. After our meal, the server came to us and gave us a small glass of limoncello each, for free! We were so surprised and thankful! But the limoncello was a type of alcohol that actually tasted like detergent or medicine to us. Although we didn't like it but I'm sure alot of people do!

This meal cost us 66 euros after tips. Whenever X drinks, he's a happy and pretty generous boy haha

If you're going to Florence, do check this place out!
