House

X and I decided to drop by Dempsey for dessert one Saturday night after dinner. It wasn't easy deciding where to go since there are so many great places at Dempsey! We decided on House since we both haven't been there in a really long time.

We really like the charming design of House.

All of the desserts looked and sounded really good!
But I love chocolate, banana and salted caramel so the two desserts that we chose were kinda a no-brainer haha

Bitter Chocolate Tart - $7.50
This really looks like the chocolate tart at Forty Hands, doesn't it?
The chocolate ganache was slightly bitter, smooth and pretty rich. The crust could have been thicker though! Quite a good chocolate tart!

Warm Banana Salted Caramel Cake - $7
Chunks of glazed bananas and popcorn, oozing salted caramel and coffee soil

The warm banana cake was soft and lightly infused with the banana flavour and the glazed bananas were sweet and delicious. The salted popcorn was an interesting addition to the dessert. However, the coffee soil hardly carried the taste of coffee and was salty and tasted a little strange. Also, we could hardly taste the salted caramel even when we just tried the sauce on its own. The taste was definitely lacking.

Iced Latte - $7
The coffee was pretty good!

House is undoubtedly an awesome place to chill with your friends. We really like the ambience and the decor of the place. Service was also pretty good, with the staff being very attentive and efficient. The prices are pretty pocket-friendly too!

Let us know what we should try at House when we return!
